If you spend countless hours doing something you might become better at it than the designers ever expected you to be. The game has been out for nearly 10 years now, and only now are we truly getting close to/under 10 turns. It has some flaws sure, but legend and king william have spent mastering this game for years. Most of the used exploits (especially unlimited boat movement) require you to do things the developers never thought we would use. If something (a game) is too easy, we (usually) soon lose interest in it. And, a game in dire need of improvements and increased difficulty. After all, if you can beat a game in (much) less then 100 turns (out of some intended 200+ turns, is it?), it probably is a crappy game, or at least a game with crappy designs and subpar challenge-levels. I think this blitzing stuff basically serves as the ultimate proof that raw MTW2 is/was poorly designed and crafted game on general terms, and that the CA-boys did not think things thru all over - as these (striking) examples very well illustrates.
